Do I need a visa to visit Ukraine?
Citizens of the US, Canada, EU, Switzerland, Norway and Japan may enter Ukraine without a visa and stay for a maximum of 90 days.
Are the women serious?
All of the women on Mat-rimony.com have been personally interviewed by our professional staff to ensure that they are completely genuine and serious about meeting a partner for romance and marriage. If we have any doubts or concerns whatsoever about a new applicant then she will be rejected at the interview stage. Likewise, we constantly update our records and delete profiles of those whose circumstances have changed and are no longer interested in correspondence with potential partners. Put quite simply, the ladies on this site are looking for responsible men with decent family values.
What are your email guidelines?
Your introductory letter should state your full name, age, height, weight (in metric), marital status, if you have children, your profession and then some information about the type of person you are and your main interests. Next you should enquire about the woman and her family. What does she like doing in her spare time? What are her hopes and aspirations? What is she looking for in a partner? At least two recent colour photos should be attached. In subsequent letters tell her more about yourself and your everyday life and refer to the subject matter of her previous letters to you. In short do NOT appear selfish by just talking about yourself. Do NOT emphasise your material possessions. DO demonstrate a clear interest in her. As the relationship develops you should indicate your desire to come and meet her.

How can I be sure that all of the women on the site are available?
Mat-rimony.com is in regular contact with the women on the site to ensure that their profiles are up to date and accurate. Those whose circumstances have changed, either because they have married, or have left the country or if they simply no longer wish to be listed on the site, will as a result have had their profiles deleted. So you can be sure that a particular woman listed is available for both correspondence and relationship.
What about age differences?
As a general guideline I would suggest a maximum age difference of 12–15 years between partners. However this depends greatly on the two individuals. The priority for a given lady is more about the mans core values and his character and less about what he looks like. Is he someone she can rely on to provide her with a secure future? Is he someone she can trust? . From the mans perspective he should choose a partner who is mature enough to know what she wants in life. Always trust your instincts. If they are telling you NO, then find someone else. Remember that the greater the age difference, the greater the chances of the relationship failing.
Do the women speak English?
This can vary from those that speak little or no English, to those who have basic conversational English, to those who have taken classes and speak it well. It is advisable not to confine your search strictly on the lines of language skills and not to make assumptions based on an individuals ability or lack of, to express themselves. For instance, it would be very wrong to conclude that a woman with competent English has a lot of experience dating foreigners as she be well educated and use English in a professional capacity. Likewise, to assume that you cannot develop a relationship with someone with poor English is a very short-term, view as many women can learn the basics very quickly. Should I send money to a lady?

Mat-rimony.com takes every effort to screen applicants to ensure that they are of good character and well intentioned. However, there is only so much we can do. If a woman you have not yet met requests money from you please inform us. The matter will be then be investigated promptly and where the claim is verified, the woman`s profile will be deleted without hesitation.
How many women should I plan to meet?
Despite the positive vibes you may have about have about a correspondence with a particular lady, you should always remember that the «proof of the pudding» as it were, comes when you actually meet the woman. So despite your great expectations for the relationship, it may not develop as you might hope. For this reason I usually suggest to clients to have an ongoing correspondence with approx five to seven women. That way when it comes to making a visit to Odessa you have more options of finding your soul mate.

Why do Ukrainian women want to marry western men?
To say that a majority, or all Ukrainian women would like to marry westerners is absolutely not true. However, there is a significant percentage who do, for a variety of reasons. Firstly, although there are many well paid jobs in Ukraine, the majority of men have poorly paid jobs compared to their western counterparts and so are unable to provide as they may wish to. Secondly, there is a perception among many women here, that western men are more responsible, loyal, reliable and that they are less likely to have an extra marital affair and less likely to over indulge in alcohol. Thirdly, Ukrainians marry young and that coupled with a high divorce rate means that there are many unattached mothers who find it difficult to meet a partner.
There is no big secret as to what Ukrainian women want. Just someone to love and care for them!
